Hi, I'm Marko

A bit about me

I’m a screenwriter based in Croatia with over a decade of writing experience. I have written in English, Croatian, German and Danish.

I am currently involved in a project with one of the most successful comedians in the Balkans. I also placed into the quarterfinals of the Final Draft Big Break 2024 competition.

Why should you trust anything I say?

I don’t want to pretend I have all the answers. But I do have the right intention – I want to help you tell a great story, not one which just fills a Hollywood template.

I focus on the story and the truth it reveals, not on writing a marketable script. That’s because a great story will more likely become successful, unlike a marketable script, which might be sold, but will never become great.

What I stand for

I believe a story is a truth about the human condition and that our purpose as storytellers is to prove that truth to the rest of world.

I also believe that:

  • Storytellers are prophets
  • You are a prophet
  • You have a duty to share your story
